Jan 26, Tric rated it it was amazing. The focus of the book, and there is a lot of it, is the dueling, in and out of the arena. The main character is a great combination of confidence, calmness, and mystery, and his interactions with other characters are always interesting. Last but not least, the characters here are rich and diverse. The action in the arena was entertaining, though a lot of that may have derived from reference after reference to actual cards in the game Wall of Wood, Psionic Blast, R.fkrstchen of Protection, Craw Wurm, Lord of the Pit, Llanowar Elves, and so on This was sitting in my desk drawer because I had every intention of trying to convert it to a eReader format since the actual book isn’t available that way.

The Gathering 4 No 4. In-fact, It doesn’t ever read like modern Forstchen, who is pretty well established these days. Despite that I still enjoyed the book and plan on reading the next couple of books.

I don’t want to give away anything, but the treachery and twists make this a fun read. Every year, the city hosts a tournament in the Arena, called the Festival of Estark.

It is what it is, the book wont change your life, but it was a quick fun read. Instead of typing out a page book I just decided to read atena. Any fighters who oppose this are instantly killed by them.
